We will get you passed in no time. |

You can do the theory test as soon as you are 17 years old and you hold a provisional licence. You don’t need to have driving lessons first or have an instructor to help. There is plenty of revision material available in most high street shops. |
Theory Test |
The theory test was introduced to ensure that new drivers have a more in-depth knowledge of the Highway Code, how to deal with hazards, road signs, basic vehicle maintenance and first aid at a scene of an accident.
The test consists of 50 multiple choice questions with one or more answer required. To pass you need to answer at least 43 questions correctly. You are allowed 57 minutes to complete the test. The test is taken using a touch screen computer and there is a chance to have a little practice to familiarize yourself with the screen and how it all works before the test starts. |

Part 1 Questions |
The hazard perception part is also delivered on a computer but you respond by clicking a button on the mouse. You'll be presented with a series of 14 video clips which feature every day road scenes. In each clip there'll be at least one developing hazard, but one of the clips will feature two developing hazards. To achieve a high score you'll need to respond to the developing hazard during the early part of its development. The maximum you can score on each hazard is five. You won't be able to review your answers to the hazard perception test; as on the road, you'll only have one chance to respond to the developing hazard. The pass mark is 44 out of 75. |

Part 2 Hazard Perception |
You must pass the theory test before you are able to book a driving test. Your result will be handed to you within minutes of finishing. To make sure you are ready study the Highway Code, The DSA Driving Skills book, The DSA official Theory Test book and use cd-roms for practising for the hazard perception test. |
